Soneva Kiri welcomes Deepanker “DK” Khosla of Bangkok’s Haoma for a five-day pop-up.

Deepanker “DK” Khosla—popularly known by his initials and the chef behind Haoma, the award-winning neo-Indian restaurant in Bangkok—has a curated menu in the works for Soneva Kiri, the luxury eco-resort in Koh Kood where he’ll be popping up for five days as part of the resort’s Songkran festival programme, taking place from 12 to 16 April.

DK remains one of the youngest Michelin-star-studded chefs for his progressive work at Haoma, the farm-to-table concept restaurant that has repeatedly proven that a conscientious menu is a flavourful, festive, and abundantly joyful experience. His philosophy of “reduce, reuse, and recycle” is further elevated with the addendum “degust.”

Reviews relish Haoma’s dishes with abandon. Even the Michelin Guide commented that “sustainable, seasonal, local ingredients sourced from farmers, breeders, fisherfolk and the restaurant’s own garden [are] turned into delicious, beautifully plated neo-Indian dishes that form seasonal tasting menus (including a vegetarian one).”

Soneva Kiri is equally as green; the resort’s famed use of sustainable design intertwined with luxury is second to none. With top-notch dining and exquisite culinary concepts, Soneva Kiri is a dreamy destination, and this magical alchemy of two eco-conscious stalwarts promises to be a golden—well, “green”—experience.

DK’s limited-time menu will draw from his idea of using fresh ingredients cultivated on-site, akin to Haoma, where the à la carte and seasonal tasting menus reflect a range of ingredients grown on the restaurant’s aquaponics farm. How he plans to transport his concept from the heart of Bangkok, where his own regenerative farm and restaurant is, to Koh Kood, we can’t wait to see and relish the movable feast.

In addition to the exclusive feasts hosted by DK this April, guests can join the Songkran parade and traditional water games at Soneva Kiri, indulge in “4Wellness” rituals that reflect new beginnings, and enjoy themed dining experiences to welcome the Thai New Year.
