Welcome to the second edition of Robb Report Hong Kong’s Best of the Best. It’s been a remarkable first year for us. In less than 12 months since our official launch, Robb Report Hong Kong has leapt from strength to strength, surpassing milestones and making history. As we take stock of our achievements and look back on how far we’ve come, there are several notable moments that stand out above the rest.
We debuted our long-awaited title, the ultimate anthology of luxury, at a spectacular gala dinner at Regent Hong Kong in February 2023, inviting the world to not only celebrate the arrival of our print edition with us over an evening of thrilling entertainment provided by on-stage performances, a charity auction, and the electrifying presence of Top Gear presenter and automotive journalist Chris Harris, who joined us for a fireside chat and live demonstration of his driving skills on a racing simulator against attending VIPs, but also to a behind-the-curtains look at the return of the legendary harbourfront hotel well before its grand reopening.
Our Best of the Best 2023 gala dinner is also where Penske Media Corporation—parent company of Robb Report—announced the launch of RR1 Hong Kong, the private membership club that brings the pages of Robb Report Hong Kong to life through exclusive and extraordinary experiences. Our RR1 Hong Kong members enjoy unrivalled access to luxury events, products, destinations, and services as part of a powerful community of like-minded tastemakers who seek out only the most superlative things in life.
We entered into a long-term partnership with hospitality and entertainment giant MGM to stage one-of-a-kind live media events in Macau, where we presented Culinary Masters over four days and three nights of black-tie gala dinners, interactive workshops, fine-wine and rare-spirits tastings, and art and cultural tours at the remarkable MGM Cotai, with the pioneering Massimo Bottura of three-Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana to lead the gastronomic charge. It was the first time an RR1 Signature Event had been held in Macau, and it set the tone for many more to come.
We were welcomed with open arms by our peers in the industry and supported them in turn through media partnerships, most notably the Hong Kong Open, Gold Coast Motor Festival, AsBAA Icons of Aviation Awards, Lantau Yacht Club Boat Show, French May Arts Festival, and FIA World Rallycross Championship, held in Hong Kong for the first time.
Of course, we continue to highlight the finest products, places, and experiences with our annual curation, gathered in these pages for your delectation. Wheels, Wings, and Water remain our centrepieces, while Watches, Style, Jewellery, Wines and Spirits, Dining, and Travel form the heart of our lifestyle selections. Art, Design, and Gear showcase wonders old and new, and Property takes the current pulse of the market. As luxury continues to transform, evolve, and fascinate, Robb Report Hong Kong continues its determined pursuit of the pinnacle of luxury. Let’s enjoy this latest chapter together.
