Set to take place on 7 and 8 June at the illustrious MGM COTAI and MGM MACAU, this two-day event promises an immersive experience that celebrates the rich tapestry of East Asian cuisines. Under the promising theme of “Flavors of Harmony: A Culinary Journey Through East Asia,” the event will showcase an innovative amalgamation of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines. However, the itinerary is filled to the brim with so much more!
While MGM x RR1HK Culinary Masters Macau 2025 is essentially an exercise in culinary delights and forging bonds over flavourful encounters—with a refined evening featuring a parade of Michelin-star-studded chefs and their signature dishes as the highlight—the curated programme of the event allows guests to explore Macau in novel, artistic, cultural, and luxurious ways over the course of the glamorous two-day event.

Guests are invited to toast the momentous weekend at an exclusive Champagne masterclass held at the Aux Beaux Arts Wine Cellar at MGM MACAU, where they will learn the nuances of pairing Champagne with exquisite dishes. A luscious caviar tasting at BESPOKE Salon at neighbouring One Central Macau promises to elevate the palate, perfectly complemented by the effervescence of Champagne. Attendees can also indulge in an eye-opening moutai tasting at the Grand Imperial Court at MGM MACAU, where the finest Chinese spirit will be expertly paired with gourmet flavours.

In a nod to luxury, each guest will have VIP access to the most luxurious shops during the dedicated Macau shopping experience. Prestigious brands at One Central Macau will open their doors to let guests peruse and shop at a wide range of designer boutiques for some serious retail therapy—easily the most indulgent and fun part of the day.

As the sun sets, guests will depart for an elegant cocktail reception at the Ballroom Foyer of MGM COTAI, a soirée that serves as the prelude to an unforgettable dining experience, where guests can mingle and savour curated hors d’oeuvres while sipping on signature cocktails crafted by expert mixologists.

Finally, the highlight of the first evening will take shape as the 9-Michelin-Star Culinary Masters Gala Dinner, where award-winning gastronomy giants such as Cheung Yat Fung of three-Michelin-starred Chao Shang Chao (Chaoyang), Kang Mingoo of three-Michelin-starred Mingles, Hiroki Nakanoue of two-Michelin-starred Sushiyoshi, and Pan Sihui of one-Michelin-starred Aji at MGM COTAI will choreograph a stunning feast that harmoniously intertwines the essence of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines. An exciting after-party awaits guests who don’t wish for the night to end.

On the second day, a leisurely optional breakfast at Coast at MGM COTAI will provide a sumptuous start to the day. Master Li Fai will guide tai chi classes at the aptly named Vista for a gentle start to the day to awaken the mind, body, and spirit. After a Sichuan-style lunch at one-Michelin-starred Five Foot Road at MGM COTAI, guests may also partake in one of several exclusive cooking classes, led by local Macanese chef Antonieta Manhão at Pastry Kitchen, and Chao Shang Chao’s Cheung Yat Fung at Vista. For the more adventurous, Kang Mingoo and Hiroki Nakanoue will welcome guests to Grill 58 and Aji, respectively, for an intimate cooking experience that delves into the art of culinary creation.

Guests are also treated to “Macau 2049,” the groundbreaking residency show at MGM Theater directed by the acclaimed Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou. The Hollywood-scale production enriches the overall event with an artistic touch, allowing guests to experience first-hand how Chinese intangible cultural heritage meets cutting-edge technology. Across two days, attendees can also explore the POLY MGM MUSEUM, Macau’s new world-class cultural landmark, and its inaugural exhibition, which takes you on a cultural journey across time, bridging East and West, and the “Brilliant Stars—The Civilization of Ancient Shu Immersive Digital Art Experience” exhibition to journey through the stories of the civilisation of Ancient Shu.
