Cheval Blanc, one of the crown jewels in the LVMH portfolio, just added another sparkling diamond to its set with its latest luxury haven in the stunning Seychelles.

Comprising 52 keys, the villa-only resort sits on the Anse Intendance beach on Mahé island, the largest in the Seychellois archipelago, facing panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. 24 villas abut the white-sand coast, while the rest are tucked into the lush, forested hills. Ranging in size from 220 square metres to an almost palatial 620 square metres, each villa comes with its own private swimming pool, too.

Jean-Michel Gathy, principal of the Malaysia-based Denniston architectural practice, brings his experience from Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives to yet another property in the luxury maison’s lineup. His contemporary approach blends the botanical allure of the archipelago with the characteristically open spaces of tropical living for a result that harmoniously melds interior and exterior, punctuated by vibrant artworks by celebrated Malagasy artist Joël Andrianomearisoa and more.

Guests can spoil themselves between five different restaurant concepts at the resort, from the spirited Seychellois Creole flavours of Le White to the Italian-inspired Vivamento by the pool. Beach club Sula will take taste buds on a contemporary Mediterranean journey, while Mizumi presents Japanese finesse. Staying true to the roots of Cheval Blanc, Le 1947 specialises in fine French gastronomy.

Cheval Blanc has tapped Guerlain as its partner for the Spa Cheval Blanc, continuing the collaboration from its other hotels. Wellness rituals inspired by the archipelago’s traditions and natural environment are available across eight treatment rooms. While the grown-ups get pampered, little ones will be entertained at the 1,500-square-metre Le Carrousel play space, bolstered by a water park and interactive activities.

Cheval Blanc Seychelles will be the newest addition to the LVMH-owned group’s boutique hotel roster, which counts locations in Paris, St Tropez, St Barth, Maldives, and the French Alps among them. Mahé Island will mark the maison’s sixth property. Reservations are now open for stays from 1 December onwards.
