VistaJet is Acquiring, Merging, and Overhauling Its Entire 360-Strong Jet Fleet With a Massive Interior Makeover
It’s the elegant refit that’s reaching for the stars.

There’s a certain beige and taupe uniformity to private jet travel that can be rather humbug after you’ve notched up a few hundred thousand miles in rarefied air. Crisp white linens, gold accents, high-tech gadgetry, and obsequious uniformed staff—you’ve seen one-private jet, you’ve seen them all.

Ladies and gentlemen, VistaJet has entered the chat. 

Well, the charter. VistaJet acquired JetEdge (US) and Air Hamburg (Europe) in 2022, tallying the number of jets in the fleet to a neat 360. News broke last week that its top-of-the-line signature aircraft, the Bombardier Global 7500, is getting an interior overhaul, a designer makeover that’s set to be the blueprint for not only the company’s fleet of 18 Bombardiers, but all of its private jets.

While on board the US$75 million (HK$587.2 million) ultra-long-range heavy jet, Matteo Atti, VistaJet’s chief marketing officer, told Robb Report, “Well, now that this is so beautiful, we want every other plane to look like this.”

Beautiful, this small, singular word, does not do enough justice in aptly describing the gilded interiors of the ultimate private jet experience—there’s a reason why Bombardier is the favourite of many a Hollywood star and celebrity.

We count six beds, an entertainment space with large flat-screen TV, toys for children of travelling clients, an expansive dining area, two bathrooms, a penthouse decked in mahogany wood, fine leather (apart from looking good, it mutes ambient cacophony), and an ensuite shower. Oh, and speaking of quiet, there’s a library on board, too. Bonsoir of London, famed for its silk, brushed cotton, and cashmere sleepwear, is doing in-flight comforts like robes, pyjamas, and socks. Plus, the bedroom salon looks like the first-class suite of a penthouse, not the cramped quarter of a flight deck. 

According to its official web site, the Bombardier 7500 is “the only business jet large enough to accommodate four true living spaces with an available Principal Suite and full-size bed, dedicated crew suite, and kitchen.” 

The refurbishment is currently in progress and expected to be completed within the next two years. In the last six months alone, the company has refurbished 37 aircrafts, updating woods, leathers, and carpets with higher-end materials and a neutral colour palette. The Global 7500’s new interior look is first trickling down to VistaJet’s large-cabin business jets, such as the Bombardier Challenger 605 and Gulfstream G450. 

Ultimately, the goal is to provide the same level of comfort, and luxury experience no matter which aircraft VIP customers fly on, from the configurations and design, to the amenities and connectivity. Aircrafts with large cabins designed for ultra-long-haul flights are particularly popular among clients in Asia. This provides more aircraft options for clients to choose from and can better suit their diverse flying needs.

As the VistaJet fleets get a makeover, the next jetsetter out of Asia at large, in fact, will be stepping up in more ways than one when booking a flight. Although the brand advertises as a jet with “a convergence of business and pleasure,” Atti assures that “we wanted to get away from the conference-centre vibes.”
