Canadian private jet manufacturer Bombardier is celebrating a new era in business aviation with the recent entry-into-service of its flagship aircraft, the Global 8000.

It’s no small feat for the Montreal-based aerospace manufacturer—Bombardier has poured more than eight decades of craftsmanship, innovation, and performance into the peerless aircraft. It led to impressive results: the Global 8000 is now the fastest business jet in the world, with a demonstrated top speed of Mach 0.95.

Aside from unmatched speed, the aircraft also delivers a best-in-class range of 8,000 nautical miles, making non-stop flights on distant routes like Hong Kong to Los Angeles, Hong Kong to San Francisco, and Hong Kong to Orlando the new reality.

Indeed, the Global 8000 is aimed at the most discerning travellers—those who value time, flexibility, and an environment designed for maximum comfort and productivity.

“Pride and excitement only begin to describe what the entry-into-service of the Global 8000 means for all 18,000 of us at Bombardier,” said Éric Martel, president and CEO of Bombardier. “Every innovation and every detail of the Global 8000 reflects the hard work, creativity, and dedication of our teams. This revolutionary aircraft is redefining the business aviation landscape with its innovative design, signature smooth ride, unmatched performance, and a promise fulfilled to our customers.”

With room for up to 19 passengers, the Global 8000 sets a new industry benchmark in cabin comfort. Its four true living zones, plus separate crew rest area, deliver an exceptionally refined travel experience, and the discrete spaces can seamlessly accommodate work, relaxation, and social engagement.

Bombardier engineers prioritised passenger wellness when they designed the Global 8000. Occupants arrive at their destination feeling refreshed and relaxed, thanks to the lowest cabin altitude in production in the industry. Even while cruising at 41,000 feet, passengers feel like they are breathing the air atop the Burj Khalifa, rather than at the top of a mountain. Additionally, Bombardier’s Pũr Air system—equipped with true HEPA filter technology—ensures fast fresh air replacement throughout the cabin, as well passenger-controlled heating and cooling for further personalisation.

“The ultimate comfort in the sky is feeling like you’re at home,” said Stephen McCullough, executive vice president, engineering, product development, and Bombardier defense. “We have focused heavily on elevating the passenger experience, imperative priorities for ultra-long-range travel. With this industry benchmark for reduced cabin altitude in production, along with numerous other design features, we help passengers have the most comfortable inflight experiences in the industry.”

On the Global 8000, passengers can get to work in the four-place Club Suite, dine in the six-seat Conference Suite, watch a movie in the Entertainment Suite, or retire to the Principal Suite with full-size bed and private en-suite lavatory, plus available stand-up shower. Fresh, hot foods prepared in one of business aviation’s largest kitchens is at their disposal, and they will experience the benefits of zero-gravity comfort while reclined in Bombardier’s patented Nuage seat. The Nuage seat is the first completely redesigned business aviation seat in 30 years, crafted specifically to reduce lower back pressure, optimise weight distribution, and improve circulation during flight.

In addition to flying faster than any other aircraft in its class, the Global 8000’s cabin is also the quietest, thanks to intentional fuselage contouring, engine selection and placement, and superior sound insulation, creating an environment for focused work and restorative rest. The aircraft also achieves business aviation’s smoothest ride, with Bombardier’s Smooth Flĕx Wing offering both high-speed and high-lift characteristics to deliver the ultimate performance. In fact, the aircraft’s class-leading runway performance enables operators to master up to 30 percent more airports than its closest competitor, enabling passengers to land nearer to their ultimate destination.

“There was a time in aviation when you had to make trade-offs, choosing between using smaller, more convenient airports, speed and range, or choosing a more pleasant cabin experience versus faster flights on more turbulent wings,” explained Emmanuel Bornand, Bombardier’s vice-president of international sales. “In the case of the Global 8000, you get it all. This true four-zone aircraft is absolutely unique because it brings the best range of 8,000 nautical miles, a top speed of Mach 0.95, and the unequalled ability to master up to 30 percent more airports—all with a four-zone cabin.”

An Unwavering Commitment to Excellence

Sitting atop the pinnacle of private aviation, Bombardier’s Global 8000 builds upon the accomplishments of the trailblazing Global 7500 aircraft—which has accumulated more than 280,000 flight hours and in excess of 215 deliveries.

In fact, the Global 7500 has earned more than 150 speed records—the most to date for a single business jet type—showcasing a winning platform that channels the talent and innovation of Bombardier’s engineering, production, and flight-test teams.

Bombardier’s commitment to excellence is unwavering, extending well beyond aircraft performance and on-board luxury. Sustainability is a top priority, from the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) across company operations to energy-efficient manufacturing processes and environmental product declarations. For today’s business leaders, Bombardier aircraft represent a modern approach to aviation—speed, comfort, and capability, aligned with environmental stewardship.

In the competitive arena of ultra-long-range business jets, the Global 8000 flies alone. Its near-supersonic speed, exceptional range, and operational agility are a testament to the passion and expertise of the Bombardier team that brought it to life—a dedication that has inspired the company’s products for nearly 84 years.
