Van Cleef & Arpels, renowned for its exquisite floral-inspired creations, has unveiled its enchanting Fleurs d’Hawaï collection, a breathtaking assemblage of jewellery and timepieces that radiate the hues of a flourishing garden.
This latest collection, which debuted at Dumfries House in Scotland in early July 2025, exemplifies the maison’s enduring commitment to excellence and its profound appreciation for the natural world. Joining an illustrious lineage of floral-themed collections—Frivole, Fleurette, Paquerette, Lotus, Rose de Noël, and Socrate—this vibrant tribute to blooms and blossoms adds a captivating new stem to the maison’s nature-inspired repertoire.

Fleurs d’Hawaï is a masterclass in colour, showcasing a palette that bursts with vitality and vivid charm. Since February 2025, industry observers have noted a growing interest in coloured stones and sales of coloured diamonds and precious stones. Drawing inspiration from an array of exquisite flowers, the collection features delicately crafted accessories that combine fine stones, diamond pistils, and gold foliage to create compositions that shimmer with life. Adhering to the maison’s stringent criteria for excellence, Van Cleef & Arpels’s expert gemmologists have meticulously selected each gem, ensuring not only the intensity and uniformity of colour but also the purity of the materials.
The choice of pear-cut gems is particularly noteworthy, as these generously proportioned stones, renowned for their luminosity and elegance, are thoughtfully matched to create a harmonious floral effect. The careful curation of these elements results in compositions that appear to bloom with the freshness of nature itself, inviting wearers to revel in their iridescent beauty. With each petal so meticulously placed, the artisanship is beyond question.
Since its founding in 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels has drawn inspiration from the delicate grace of flowers, cultivating a distinctive style that has evolved over decades. Historical references, such as the Daisy brooch from 1907, underscore the longstanding admiration for botanical themes. A brooch from the archives dating from 1938, pavé-set with round diamonds mounted on platinum, seems to serve as a jewelled precursor to Fleurs d’Hawaï, tracing a lineage of floral motifs that have continuously cropped up in the rich past of the maison. This vast legacy is expressed through a myriad of aesthetic interpretations, from stylised motifs to figurative designs that encapsulate the essence of floral beauty.

Van Cleef & Arpels’s Fleurs d’Hawaï collection continues this tradition, celebrating the vibrancy of flowers through pieces that are both whimsical and sophisticated. Each creation is imbued with a sense of movement, paying homage to nature’s vitality while showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. Central to the collection are five captivating gemstones: bright citrine, amethyst, deep pink rhodolite, peridot, and crystalline aquamarine. Each stone is chosen to reflect the joy and dynamism of a garden in full bloom.
Among the standout creations, we would be remiss to not point out the Fleurs d’Hawaï secret watches [above main pic], which embody the artistry of the collection while offering a novel way to mark the passage of time. Adorned with 12 perfectly pear-cut stones encircling a mother-of-pearl dial, these timepieces are a feast for the eyes. A cleverly concealed pear-cut diamond at 12 o’clock adds an element of surprise, reflecting the maison’s penchant for mystery. Each watch features a blend of materials, including citrine with yellow gold, rhodolite with rose gold, and aquamarine with white gold, all complemented by a white-gold strap. This exquisite fusion enlivens the wrist, transforming every glance at the time into a moment of joy.
The Fleurs d’Hawaï collection immortalises the beauty of flowers in precious stones, capturing their untamed charm and eternal allure. Each piece serves as a testament to Van Cleef & Arpels’s vision of life, celebrating the artistry of nature and the skill of the house artisans and craftsmen.
