In the business of hotels, where nothing happens by coincidence, every effort is connected to facilitate smooth operations and a superior guest experience, and no cog in the proverbial machine is too small to matter, everyone has an important role to play. It is exactly this human aspect of the hospitality realm that Stelliers has set out to honour, most recently with the 12th edition of its Greater China Awards.

On 12 December 2025, the leading hotelier awards platform co-founded by Stéphane de Montgros, announced the results of the Stelliers Greater China 2025 Awards at a fabulous ceremony held at the Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, attended by more than 300 guests who eagerly awaited the announcement of winners. Peers of the hotel industry—including hospitality professionals, industry leaders, and partners—came together to toast and uplift the winners of this year’s edition, celebrating the remarkable individuals who meaningfully and passionately shape the hospitality landscape.

24 winners were honoured across 24 categories, selected through a meticulous judging process that involved individual interviews and much deliberation. A panel of five judges—made up of industry veterans and business leaders Rainer Burkle, former area vice present, luxury for Marriott International Greater China; May Wong, CEO of DONG Luxury Travel Collection; Kevin Tan, vice president of American Express Global Business Travel; William Mackay, former president of operations at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Asia-Pacific; and Sarah Chen, former senior vice president, sales & marketing for Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality Group—voted on the final decision for each award.

Among those honoured in some of the most highly anticipated categories were Hugo Montanari of Rosewood Hong Kong, who was awarded General Manager of the Year; Vittorio Dincao of Galaxy Macau, who was recognised as the Butler of the Year; Jan Ruangnukulkit of Banyan Tree Macau, who won Chef of the Year; and Helen Jiang of Mandarin Oriental, Sanya, who picked up the Unsung Hero of the Year award.

“This evening was a celebration of people who pour their hearts into what they do. Many of the professionals we met started in the most junior roles and have worked their way forward through sheer dedication. Their stories remind us that hospitality is built by individuals who truly care about the guest experience and about their teams,” says de Montgros of the event. “We are thankful to everyone who participated this year: the nominees, the finalists, the judges, our partners, and the hotels that continue nurturing their talent. The emotion we saw on stage was genuine, and it reflects the pride these individuals take in their craft. If tonight helped them feel seen and valued—even for a moment—that is what we are honoured to be a part of.”
