Born of Ralph Lauren’s legendary men’s flagship at 867 Madison Avenue in New York, the luxury maison’s 867 Collection is known for its emblematic square case, Art Deco-inspired nature with a modern twist, and simple yet practical design. Fans of the brand can mark their calendars for this coming April, which will see four new watches added to this elegant line.
The timepieces will come in a symmetrical square case of either 28 mm or 32 mm in sterling silver or 18-karat rose gold. The lacquered, off-white dial features concentric squares with Arabic and Roman numerals as indices, as well as Breguet-style hands, while an outer ring made up of digits used to mark minutes rounds up the time indication. The watches are fitted with an interchangeable, hand-stitched black alligator strap that comes with either a sterling silver or 18-karat rose gold pin buckle, which not only echoes the case, but also makes a perfect fit for a tuxedo cuff.
Ralph Lauren’s new watches are powered by a Swiss-made mechanical manual winding movement by Piaget. This hand-finished, “extra-flat” calibre is adorned with vertical Côtes de Genève stripes and circular graining known as perlage.
The releases will be available from 1 April, with the 28 mm sterling silver edition priced at HK$68,000; the 32 mm sterling silver at HK$68,500; the 28 mm 18-karat rose gold at HK$127,000; and the 32 mm 18-karat rose gold at HK$139,000.
