Delta Marine

Delta Marine’s upcoming fleet member is kind of like a cross between a superyacht and a Six Senses.

Christened Discovery, the custom 156-footer is designed for active living, with a host of health and wellness amenities on board. The family-owned American shipyard says the vessel will soon be available for charter, meaning you could jump aboard for some rest and relaxation at sea.

Discovery combines American craftsmanship and European style, with Delta’s Seattle-based team executing the build and Amsterdam’s Dasha Moranova Designs spearheading the interiors. The indoor-outdoor layout eschews formality in favour of comfort, with flexible living spaces and expansive decks.

“This yacht embodies everything we believe in: well-being at sea,” designer Dasha Moranova said in a statement. “It offers the perfect balance between an active lifestyle and pure relaxation.”

Starting at the top, the sundeck is geared toward alfresco entertaining with sun pads, a spa, a grill, and a waterslide. Below that, the bridge deck is equipped with a 12-seat table that can be used for open-air dining. Between the bridge and Sea-Doos sits an outdoor gym with panoramic ocean views, while on the main deck lies a stone-clad circular bar for the requisite sundowners. A few steps away lies a multipurpose lazarette that doubles as a utility hub and wellness retreat, offering a sauna, a cold plunge tub, full dive equipment, paddleboards, scuba gear, and coolers for catches of the day.

“Mornings can begin with a workout, a cold plunge, or time in the sauna, followed by catching fresh fish for lunch, which can be measured and weighed right on our ‘smart deck’ before being grilled outdoors,” Moranova adds. “Life on board is exactly as it should be—a seamless blend of energy and ease, of vitality and calm.”

The 499 GT interior pairs an earthy colour palette with natural materials, including wood, stone, and seaglass, resulting in a calm feel throughout. Instead of the traditional salon-to-dining arrangement, the main deck features a cosy lounge-style space with a generous sofa and a 12-seat table. In addition to social spaces for lively gatherings, the yacht offers secluded areas for lounging and rest.

Discovery can accommodate up to 12 guests in five cabins, including a VIP suite with the option to combine two cabins for double charter principals. (The sky lounge also sports a pull-out sofa, a full bath, and a closet, if more seafarers decide to join.) Each cabin is a private retreat akin to a Six Senses suite. The yacht is also capable of carrying up to nine crew, ensuring guests stay nice and relaxed while on the water.

Sold by broker Kent Harrington of Edmiston & Co., Discovery is due to be delivered in 2026.
