It takes all chords to make a chorus, and adding to our speakers line-up this week, it’s been confirmed that Darshan Mehta, president and CEO of Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), a subsidiary of India’s largest conglomerate, Reliance Industries Limited, is joining the first-ever Leaders of Luxury Summit 2024. Having paved the way for over 50 brands, including Ermenegildo Zegna, Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, and Salvatore Ferragamo, to expand their global presence to India, Mehta has elevated menswear, style, and luxury in ever-fashionable Bollywood and transformed the consumer retail industry within the country like never before. Read more about Mehta here.

CEO and founder of Wristcheck, Austen Chu, will be among the panelist speakers on stage. One of the youngest and most influential voices in the luxury watch market, his expertise and passion surpasses expectation as his collaborations with legacy brands like Audemars Piguet as well as newcomers have revolutionised the watch industry.

If the adage “health is wealth” rings true, then the CEO of Humansa, Don So, is one of the wealthiest men to reach the summit. As one of the leading health and wellness businesses in Asia, Humansa plays an essential part in the global consumer wellness market, currently estimated to be worth trillions, and only growing from here. Where does the future of an AI-incorporated health and wellness industry lead us? How has it already ignited positive change? With So’s involvement, the topic should make for an enlightening conversation.

Elevating our panel with his presence is Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Chanin Donavanik, who has been venerated for his significant contributions to the hospitality industry in the region. As vice chairman and executive committee chairman of Dusit International, one of the leading hospitality groups in Asia with a portfolio of six brands across 14 countries, Donavanik is a celebrated figure in the Thai tourism industry. In his illustrious career, he has served as president of both the Thai Hotels Association and the ASEAN Hotel and Restaurant Association, and as chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce’s Tourism & Service Business Committee. He joins Robb Report Hong Kong’s own legend, Mary Gostelow, for a discursive chat.

We will also be looking at the skies with Amy Yang, vice president marketing of APAC and IMEA at VistaJet and Vista Global. Responsible for developing campaigns and strategic partnerships targeting ultra-high-net-worth individuals, Yang brings her literal bird’s-eye view and empirical perspective on the private jet industry and the jet set with equal aplomb.

Hosted by Robb Report Hong Kong, the Leaders of Luxury Summit promises to be a landmark occasion, pulling in top-tier decision-makers of the luxury industry to Hong Kong for the most highly anticipated luxury congregation of the year in the city, expected to draw 300-plus attendees and delegates from among the most knowledgeable industry insiders.

From a visceral look at the convergence of art and culture within the lucrative watches and jewellery industries in luxury retail to the renaissance of the travel and hospitality industry where enriching experiences and cross-segment expansions have taken top priority, the luxury market has morphed into something that we’ve never seen before, and the Leaders of Luxury Summit will explore the developments, strategies, changes, and innovations that are at the forefront of the luxury industry, presenting fresh insider perspectives on the latest happenings in the luxury market, and how it affects us all in the near future.

“Redefining Luxury Through a Global Lens,” a seminal theme of the Leaders of Luxury Summit, is the lingua franca that will be spoken at the event. Supported by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, these discussions and a full schedule of other engaging talks, thought-provoking panels, and inspiring keynote speeches offer delegates the unique opportunity to discover the trends, disruptions, and future directions of the global luxury market.

It all leads up to a glamorous black-tie gala dinner, of course, as great work must be rewarded with great food, wine, and plenty of bubbly, and we turn to the Regent Hong Kong to deliver. All this and more in just under 30 days. See you at the Leaders of Luxury Summit 2024.
