Less than a year after Aman opened its first standalone residential project in Tokyo, the hotel group is ready to unveil the design of a group of private homes at its beloved Amangiri resort—and Robb Report got an exclusive sneak peek.
Aman Residences, Amangiri, which encompasses 12 minimalistic residences set among 900 unspoiled acres of rugged beauty in the Utah desert, marks another chapter in the collaboration between Aman and the L.A.-based architecture and interior design firm Masastudio, which dates back to the creation of the Amangiri resort in 2009. Designed by Marwan Al-Sayed of Masastudio—one of the original architects behind Amangiri—the Canyon Country residences will embody the essence of Aman’s design philosophy, offering a modern yet organic presence in a remote part of the state. The homes will feature clean, modernist lines and be built into the very rockscape they sit upon. Materials like cement, stone, and wood will enhance the harmony between the natural surroundings and the built environment.

Each of the homes will sit on expansive plots ranging from five to 19 acres, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding desert, rock formations, and endless skies. With layouts ranging from four to eight bedrooms, the residences will average over 7,000 square feet of open-plan living space, with private swimming pools and generous outdoor areas.
“Aman Residences, Amangiri are a true reflection of the land itself with no two homes identical,” says Al-Sayed. “Each is uniquely composed as a series of volumes, intentionally positioned to complement the desert’s spectacular topography, allowing architecture and nature to coexist.”

In keeping with Aman’s commitment to sustainability, each home will be carbon neutral, and advanced 3D modelling will ensure the homes are carefully sited to maximise the mesmerising desert views, allowing nature to always be the star of the show.
Owners will also enjoy exclusive access to the world-class amenities of the resort, including a 25,000-square-foot spa, a curated slate of wellness programs, and guided desert experiences. The first residence is set for completion in the fall of 2025.
“Aman Residences, Amangiri represents the pinnacle of private desert living while being permanently immersed in the Aman way of life,” adds Vlad Doronin, chairman and CEO of Aman Group. “This is an invitation-only opportunity to embrace our lifestyle in unmatched seclusion and surrounded by the architectural excellence and unparalleled service of one of Aman’s most iconic resorts.”
