Market reports and studies show that there has been a steady rise in Asia-Pacific customers showing a stronger desire for larger yachts with greater luxury. We found a prime example of that at a launch party in Hong Kong at Aberdeen Marina Club. Measuring 29 metres (95 feet) in length, the superyacht, Princess Yachts’ X95, is one of the models favoured by a discerning group of buyers, with three already delivered to VIP clients in the city.

The British shipyard’s X Class superyachts distinguish themselves from their peers with their emblematic Super Flybridge. As the latest model in the X Class range, X95 takes this unique design language to the next level with its flybridge extending nearly 22 metres in length, which makes up about three-fourths of the yacht’s total length. This special layout offers a larger, impressive exterior and more interior space, compared with a traditional motor vessel. The ample scope thus provides more room for further customisation and bespoke details for owners.

The flybridge is divided into three distinct spaces. Poised to be a comfortable entertainment hub onboard, the fully enclosed Sky Lounge is temperature-controlled and well-equipped with 4K UHD TV and Naim audio system. At the same time, the spacious rear area is designed for flexible lounge seating with a dining table for eight, while the space towards the bow is dedicated to sunbathing or a spa bath area with a U-shaped seating zone.

Below deck, you’ll find a roomy salon, which comes with a spacious sitting section, a private galley, and the master cabin at the bow, which features glass windows on three sides affording a 270-degree panoramic view. But “feel free to repurpose the space as you like, as the layout is flexible”—or so we’re told. To give you some ideas: the airy salon can be further redesigned as an open-plan kitchen with a connecting dining and entertainment area, while the master bedroom can be turned into a cinema lounge.

Other berths are located in lower decks and all the staterooms come with their own ensuite bathrooms. The main forward stateroom is fitted with a walk-in closet, while the full-beam master stateroom can be rearranged as two ensuite cabins or even a gym for the most workout-addicted gym buffs. An optional beach club can be configured at the stern with a lounge and galley, as well as storage space for a jet ski. Opening directly to the rear bathing platform, the beach club offers immediate access to the sea.

In addition to its iconic flybridge, the X95 also features an advanced hull design that improves efficiency by 15 percent while ensuring the vessel cruises stably in all sea conditions. Powered by two MAN V12 engines with a fuel capacity of 13,800 litres, the superyacht enjoys a maximum cruising speed between 24 and 26 knots and a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles.
