Behold the all-new McLaren 750S, a lighter, faster, and sharper iteration from the the legendary marque that brought us the iconic 720S supercar. In a digital exclusive, Robb Report Hong Kong’s publisher, Tak Man, takes the new release on a test drive, and shows us exactly why the 750S is an esteemed nominee in the upcoming edition of Best of the Best, the annual luxury compendium by Robb Report Hong Kong.
For his first ride, he flew all the way to Estoril Circuit (in Portugal) weeks before anyone else in Hong Kong had a first look at the new dream machine. When the wheels touched down in Hong Kong, he went for another spin around the city’s outskirts.
In a programme of fine-tuning, the 750S has gained 30 horsepower and 30 Nm torque and shed 30 kilogrammes to improve performance, cornering response, reliability, and daily usability. Driving enjoyment is a key part of the experience, and a lighter exhaust as well as lightweight wheels set the machine in motion.
While the 750S shares a lot of components with its 720S predecessor, the new model continues to push the boundaries of sports cars. As the lightest and most powerful series from McLaren rolls into the region, we believe the 750S is here to slay.
