Phuket’s gastronomic landscape, a smorgasbord of native, traditional, and international cuisines, is set to transform with the imminent opening of the House of Tin Baron, a luxurious lifestyle destination that promises to elevate dining to an art form.

Launching on 1 December, this historic, revitalised venue in the heart of Phuket Old Town introduces two extraordinary culinary experiences: the first Louis Roederer Cristal Room in the world, and the exquisite Italian fine-dining restaurant Terra.

The Louis Roederer Cristal Room will be a bubbling sanctuary for Champagne aficionados, dedicated to the illustrious legacy of Louis Roederer Cristal. Established in 1876 for Alexander II of Russia, this exclusive space offers a curated selection of rare vintages, including the celebrated Cristal Brut 2008 and the opulent Cristal Rosé. Guests can indulge in a meticulously crafted tasting experience, guided by a knowledgeable sommelier, all while enjoying the soothing sounds of live piano music. The ambiance is nothing short of spectacular, designed to uplift each sip into a remarkable occasion, giving shape to the golden philosophy of why wait for an occasion to celebrate, when every day is a celebration.

Complementing this Champagne haven is Terra, a fine-dining restaurant that draws inspiration from the culinary heritage of Italy. Here, executive chef Okan Ozturk, with his Michelin-star-studded apron, presents a menu that celebrates the finest seasonal ingredients from around the globe. Highlights include the Nova Scotia lobster paired with chilled sour risotto and tortellini fontina adorned with Alba white truffle. Every dish reflects a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, ensuring an unforgettable culinary journey.

One of Terra’s standout features is its Dolce Terra dessert bar, a stunning focal point that showcases inventive interpretations of classic Italian sweets. This “sweet earth” concept serves as a fitting conclusion to the meal, surprising and delighting guests with every bite.

The design of both dining venues exudes sophistication, seamlessly marrying the rich heritage of Phuket’s Sino-Portuguese architecture with contemporary elegance. As you step into Terra, you’re transported to a sophisticated Italian villa where every detail has been thoughtfully curated. This inviting atmosphere, paired with impeccable service, encourages diners to savour each moment, making every meal an immersive experience.

Deepak Ohri, CEO and founder of Luxury Atelier Maison Happiness, emphasises the vision behind these dining concepts: “With Terra, we have created a space where every meal is a journey through Italy’s culinary heart.” This exemplary ethos resonates throughout the House of Tin Baron, which aims to redefine luxury dining in Phuket. As the countdown to the grand opening begins, the House of Tin Baron stands poised to become not just a premier dining destination but a vital part of Phuket’s cultural tapestry. For those seeking an unparalleled blend of history, elegance, and culinary excellence, this is a journey not to be missed.
