No matter how many times you have seen it, there’s something undeniably attractive about the technicolour Hong Kong skyline. Aqua Restaurant Group knows this almost better than anyone—two of its eateries, Hutong and Aqua, offer direct views of Victoria Harbour, and they are by no means the last.

Perched on a high floor of One Peking in Tsim Sha Tsui, the all-new Vista brings together high-class European dining with a world-class view of Hong Kong Island. Regional ingredients are sourced from all over the boot-shaped country to form the backbone of the restaurant’s authentic Italian menu, led by executive chef Andrea Mura, who collaborates with Aqua Restaurant Group for this exciting new venture.

A verdant wonderland greets you when you walk in, with a greenhouse-like entrance giving way to theatrical, right-by-the-window tables for front-row seats across the city (skip if you’re afraid of heights). “We are bringing guests the chance to dine in a garden in the sky,” says Alex Bellafronte, Aqua Restaurant Group’s director of operations.

Offering an array of traditional handcrafted pastas and fresh seafood platters, Mura presents Italian cooking in a way that is close to his heart and heritage, albeit with an elevated touch. Guests are invited to dine on homemade thin-crust pizzas baked to perfection; the Sicilian “green gold” mozzarella cheese oozes in its creamy burrata form, making the combination with luxury Bronte pistachios all the more enticing. Continue with a “white gold” truffle recipe of Alba white truffle tagliolini and follow with the Italian saffron and sausage risotto.

For bounties from the ocean, Vista’s grilled seafood platter offers something special for everyone, featuring a melange of lobster, calamari, prawns, octopus, and scallops. Top off the night with a table-side tiramisu, where options of traditional mascarpone, pistachio, or hazelnut are assembled right before your eyes.
