The United Arab Emirates’ most famous artificial archipelago will soon see another luxury development added to its already impressive roster of hotels. Due to open in late 2024, Six Senses has chosen the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah for its grand entrance into the region, with the goal of transforming a private stretch of sand into “a secluded escape.”

“From the bottom of the ocean to the signature rooftop bar, our concept celebrates the natural beauty of the Gulf, the solidarity and hospitality between host and visitors, and the journey that Dubai has been on, with its unique Emirati traditions and bubbling optimism for the future,” remarks Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses, on this milestone for the brand.

A collection of palms, ponds, gardens, and bridges add to the surrounding green landscape to create a tidy nature sanctuary. Reinforced by a design narrative inspired by the area’s coral reefs, Six Senses The Palm introduces sloping lines, organic silhouettes, and textured surfaces to echo the marine species’ unique natural appearance. As part of the hospitality group’s commitment to further sustainability efforts and support the environmental initiatives put forth by Dubai, the Palm Jumeirah project will also be LEED-certified.

Made up of a 61-room hotel and 162 branded residences with penthouse, duplex villas, and beachfront homes, the new development is centred around a remarkable pièce de résistance: a 60,000-square-foot social and wellness centre, which comprises “a longevity clinic, IV lounge, biohacking room, massage circuit pool, squash court, working spaces, and Six Senses Spa.” Other amenities and recreational elements on the property will include business and leisure facilities, tennis and padel courts, running tracks, and a micro farm.
