Cirrus Aircraft’s 2022 G6 SR is the latest model in the personal aviation brand’s SR series that uses cutting-edge technology to elevate its single-engine piston design. Allowing owners to sync their aircrafts with the Cirrus IQ mobile app, the innovation lends to a faster, fuel-saving experience.
Boasting a sleeker and more aerodynamic redesign, as a result of changes to the blueprint’s wings, tail surfaces, and wheel pants, the 2022 G6 SR is the fastest of all models in the SR series. The aircraft improves on its previous models’ airspeed by up to nine knots, showcased by its smoothed-out ice panel transition seams, and tightened wheel pants that reduce drag.
What’s more, the company attests that the refinements can help to reduce fuel consumption, and lead to faster flight segments.
The aircraft luggage compartment is another feature that has been improved, with the door now unlocked by a key fob that springs the door open gently past 90 degrees to make for easy loading. To top it all, the storage size has been enlarged, making room for more of your precious cargo.
Through pairing their 2022 G6 SR aircraft with the Cirrus IQ app, not only can pilots and owners find out more about the flight’s navigation status, but they can also retrieve important stats on the plane’s overall performance. Insights regarding aircraft status, inspection intervals, and warranty expiration can be found on the software.

To expand the option for new colourways, the Cirrus Xi team has worked tirelessly with Sherwin Williams Aerospace to develop an improved paint formulation process in order to enhance the colour definition and flexibility of the aircrafts. When customizing their 2022 G6 SR, customers can now choose from up to eight brilliant colour palettes.
The SR series has been hailed as one of Cirrus Aircraft’s bestsellers, with over 8,000 units sold, and has been a known as one of the high-performing aircrafts in the market for nearly 20 years now.
