Bentley Mulliner has rolled out limited editions of 80 new Bentleys exclusively for China, as the British marque celebrates the 20th anniversary of its presence in the country this year.

The unique collection comprises Bentley’s four model lines—the Continental GT, the Continental GTC, Flying Spur, and Bentayga. Inspired by a different iconic location in London, where Bentley Motors was founded in 1919, each family comes with only 20 cars that are due to be individually handcrafted by Mulliner. With new colours, veneers, and bespoke details used for the first time, all 80 V8-powered cars will be sold exclusively in China.

The Guard

The first car in the collection, dubbed “The Guard,” is a Continental GT inspired by the Royal Guards protecting the Royal Household in the UK. Its St. James Red pearlescent paint and the Beluga roof are reminiscent of the red tunic and 18-inch black bearskin hats worn by the Guards. Another exterior highlight lies on the front wings, which are adorned with a black badge that denotes the car as one of 20. Further emphasising its exclusivity is another badge on the passenger fascia inside the car.

There are a lot of Guard-inspired elements inside the cabin, which uses a three-tone colour palette made up of Linen, Beluga, and Hotspur. Graphics of the Guards are featured on places such as the headrest embroidery, an overlay to the passenger fascia, and the bespoke treadplates. The Gold Organ Stops, which are used to control the cabin heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, evokes the gold tunic buttons on the Guards’ uniform.

The Carnaby

The convertible model in the collection is “The Carnaby,” a Continental GTC which takes inspirations from the Carnaby Street in London’s Soho district. Echoing the energetic and lively atmosphere as well as bright colours of the street, the open-top grand tourer is available in four colours: Radium, Jetstream II, Orange Flame, and Onyx.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in Beluga leather with Radium hide accents and contrast stitching in both Radium and Silver. The passenger fascia is decorated with a colourful diamond motif that represents the four colours in the family, with the exterior colour shown more boldly in this four-colour design. The same motif can also be found on the headrest. Other highlights include the centre console that features new dark tint diamond brushed aluminum, and the Carnaby badging fitted to both the front wings and the passenger fascia.

The Pall Mall

The Pall Mall Flying Spur is a 2022 homage to the State Limousine that Bentley delivered to Her Majesty The Queen in celebration of her Golden Jubilee in 2002, coinciding with the year when Bentley entered the China market.

The sedan features bespoke duo-tone Beluga over Claret paint, a “The Pall Mall” badge to the C-pillar, and 22-inch ten-spoke wheels in a claret-painted and bright-machined finish. In the four-seat cabin, a unique front-to-rear colour split separates the front seats from the rear, from Imperial Blue in the front to the bespoke hide colour of Baroda Blue for the rear seats separated by a full-length centre console. Notably, the bespoke micro-piping in Pale Gold further contrasts with seat piping in Imperial Blue, while the Baroda Blue matches the hide in the State Limousine.

The veneer uses one wood species with two different finishes—Open Pore Burr Walnut over High Gloss Burr Walnut. The rear doors are finished with Burr Walnut, while the backs of the front seats house picnic tables finished in Piano Baroda Blue. Royal touches to the cabin also include a bespoke crown motif, which is embroidered to the seats and presented on an overlay in Gold to the centre rear console, the passenger fascia, and the rear door panels.

The Savile Row

The Savile Row Bentayga is named after the world-renowned street in central London that has gained its reputation for bespoke tailoring. The SUV has a clean Cumbrian Green bodywork with 22-inch ten-spoke wheels, which are also painted in Cumbrian Green with a bright machined finish.

Inside, the four-seat cabin with rear centre console features a colour split in Cumbrian Green and Portland hides, and Mulliner’s “Serenity” seat upholstery on the seats, doors, and backboard. Exclusive High Gloss Burr Elm veneer is used on the fascias, centre consoles, and door waistrails, which is the first time this material is used in a modern Bentley. Embroidery showing a suit and bow tie is stitched to the headrests, while the special model is also shown on an overlay in the passenger fascia and treadplates, along with exterior badging to the D-pillar.

The luxury car maker says the customer demand for this special collection is “already extremely high.” All 80 cars will be sold exclusively in China over the coming months, while the first examples are due to make their global debut in China shortly.
