As the final few speaker confirmations for the Leaders of Luxury Summit 2024 trickle in, our cup runneth over. C-suite executives, titans of industry, owners of companies, and a notable contingency from the Hong Kong government have confirmed their attendance as they head to what promises to be the most invaluable collective of speakers in the realm of luxury. All will be voicing their thoughts, experiences, and empirical studies on a momentous day when Robb Report Hong Kong unveils the inaugural Leaders of Luxury Summit at Regent Hong Kong.
As the chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Dr Yiu-kai Pang honours us at Robb Report Hong Kong with his presence at the opening of the first-ever Leaders of Luxury Summit. As the key person responsible for leading the organisation in actively promoting Hong Kong as one of the most exciting and leading travel destinations around the world, and to maximise the benefits of tourism for Hong Kong and the Hong Kong community, his support for the event and his opening speech elevate our endeavours to showcase the city for what we know is true: an international hub for all luxury brands, and luxury that runs the gamut—hence the wide net of speakers who are congregating in Hong Kong from all corners of the world.
We also welcome speakers such as Chi-man Kwan, the group chief executive officer of Raffles Family Office, the leading multi-family offices in Asia. RFO provides tailored wealth management and preservation solutions to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and Kwan is responsible for driving the company’s strategic development and implementation, leading the company’s expansion across Asia in pivotal cities across the region.
If anyone knows the silhouette of Hong Kong by heart, it’s Sara Klomps, the formidable director of Zaha Hadid Architects, who was part of the dream team that changed the city’s skyline with the recent unveiling of the iconic Henderson. In addition to her work on The Henderson, Klomps has been involved in projects such as the MAXXI Museum of XXI Century Arts in Rome, the London Aquatics Centre, the Lois & Richard Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art, the multi-award-winning Phaeno Science Centre, and the Forest Green Rovers Eco Park Stadium. Embodying low-carbon construction methods and operational processes, the Eco Park Stadium will be the first all-wood football stadium, with almost every element made of sustainably sourced timber. How she, her company, and indeed her industry plans to change and reshape luxury structures will drive an interesting conversation.
It’s something that Christina Gaw is all too aware of as well. As managing principal and global head of capital markets at Gaw Capital Partners, she epitomises leadership in real estate private equity. With over US$35.4 billion in assets under management, she spearheads capital raising and product innovation across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Her illustrious career includes pivotal roles at Goldman Sachs and UBS, where she honed her expertise in institutional investment. An advocate for community engagement, Gaw contributes to numerous educational and social initiatives in Hong Kong. Recognised as one of Global PERE’s Top 10 Women of Influence, she is a formidable force in finance and philanthropy—two pertinent aspects of luxury that needs to be talked about more, with compassion and with volume.
With more than 300 guests from all corners of the world flying into the city, Robb Report Hong Kong is inaugurating the Leaders of Luxury Summit in great style with great substance, rolling out the red carpet for the biggest decision-makers within the industry. Easily the most highly anticipated luxury gathering of the year in the city, if not Asia, a summit that culminates in a black-tie gala dinner is a celebration as much as it is a revelation, as the Hong Kong edition of Robb Report hosts its party with a purpose for all delegates and by-invitation-only VVIPs.
“Redefining Luxury Through a Global Lens” may seem like a wildly generic topic, but it’s the esteemed speakers who bring nuance and resonance to the collective. With the welcome support of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the conversations are amplified by above-the-marquee names from those in the luxury automobile, yachting, aviation, hospitality, fashion, jewellery, watch, auction, property, health, wellness, tech, wealth management, and entertainment industries.
For all the above and more, get in touch to join the conversation and secure a seat at the table. See you at the Leaders of Luxury Summit 2024 in less than three weeks.
